Hi, this is my first time to post a message here and I just wondering is that true the newP810/P900 will only has 65000colors? Because the other brand models like Sharp GX20 and Toplux they all have 265K colors, but the camera is only330Pixel. And P810/P900, only has 65000colors but the camera has 1.3M Pixel.

Until now there is no Official Announcement from SE to confirm that it has 65K screen or 1.3 Mpx

But most likely as some people already tested the protoype one, it has 65K screen and VGA camera which can take up to 640 * 480 instead of 1.3Mpx camera..

Thank you n1ghtFLY, but I thought this one should be the final P810/P900. And if not, I think SE should make the color be 265K instead of 65K. I think that is sort of like"trend".

I thought the Sharp GX20 had a 65k colour screen.

As far as I know at the moment the only phones being sold with 265k colour screens are the ones that are built for the Japanese market like the Sony Ericsson SO505i

jim, I don't think so. Because the GX20 should be 265k colors instead of 65k, and I see the real stuff already. But anyway, I still like P810/P900 more than any other mobile phone.^.^

I just had a quick look at some websites that have written the specs of the GX20 and they all state that it has a 65,536 colour screen with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels.

Hi, jim, I don't know why you read those websites state that Sharp GX20 only has 65,000colors. Actually GX20=GX22(in Asia), and I have seen the new GX22 in the mobile phone shop and read those description already(and also the ad on TV). They all claim that GX22=GX20, has 265k colors. But anyway, GX20 really has a good screen color.

One of the websites a found the information on was Vodafone and it wrote
An extract from the Vodafone article
Double colour screens
The Sharp GX20 offers double screens in colour, with both the main screen (LCD) and the stamp-sized outer screen displaying 65,536 colours. The main screen has no less than 240 x 320 points, which creates a fantastically sharp picture quality that is rich in contrast, and the screen has also been made larger than in the previous model. The outer screen has a resolution of 60 x 80 pixels, in which the user can select, in the same way as for the main screen, his or her own background and obtain information on who is calling, as well as the time and date. The outer screen also has an important function when the user wants to take a self-portrait, as it also serves as a camera searcher.

You can read the full review if you go to www.vodafone.com and put GX20 in the Quick Search field it will bring up the article with the heading Media Centre - Richer colour and picture with the Vodafone live!... (96%)
.

I do agree about the GX20 having a great screen, but I think this has more to do with the amount of pixels than the number of colours.

It has very little to do with the number of colors. There are a ton of 64k units out there, and none can compare.

And it isn't just resolution, it is just flat out a better display.
