I don't really need a smart phone. I have had Palms but prefer Moleskines. But I do want qwerty, I am ready to thrash my T9 phone. I don't really need anything else, but I am not nutz about the bulk of the larger phones. In fact I would really like something fairly compact.

I really thought the Nokia 6822 was perfect, until I saw 3.5 MB of memory, and about people running out. I could live with 3.5, if it had a micro-sd slot. The 6822 can be had for cheap on eBay too.
The u740 from samsung, looks ok, but slightly out of price range. Moto a630 looks ok, but maybe a little dated?

For reasons I won't go into, the phone can not have Windows Mobile on it.

Anyways, I want to spend no more than $100 (I don't mind doing ebay, I have patience).

I would love to hear some suggestions.
