Hi all! I'm new to this site. My wife has asked me this question but unfortunately I'm unable to respond. She has a HS-3W bluetooth headset on her Nokia 6600 phone. What she doesn't seem to be able to do is have the phone ring as well as the blue tooth connection. She hates driving and having the thing stuck in her ear all the time.
Does anyone know if it is possible with this unit to have the headset activated and still have the phone ring with the arrival of an incoming call.

Thanks to anyone who may know.

Kindest regards,

Jonathan

i am not sure if that is possible, I have tried before pairing my jabra bt200 with my sister's 6600 and once you got the 2 paired, only the jabra will ring, i think it is not a bug, it is just the way nokia implemented it, will try to find more answers though

Unfortunately, that is the way Nokia implemented bluetooth headset support. I have a 3650 and HDW-2 where sound is basically routed to the headset when connected. You're right, it can be annoying with sound no longer emitted from the phone; however, it does afford more privacy that way.

For the 6600, compatible bluetooth headsets essentially work by routing all sounds to the headset. What's interesting is if you use the regular wired headset, sound actually comes out both the phone and the earbud.
