Alpha version of FUILauncher released for Windows Mobile
Posted Jul 30th 2007 6:00AM by Brad Linder
Who Needs an iPhone? Flash developer Jason Jaegers set about to create an iPhone-inspired (but not duplicated) program launcher for Windows Mobile. A few weeks ago he posted some pretty pictures, and this weekend he released the first public alpha for download. The working name of the program is FUILauncher, for Flash user interface.
Here's a few things you need to know:
* You'll need Windows Mobile 5.0 or 6, Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 2.0 SP1, and the Adobe Flash Lite 2.1 player to run FUILauncher.
* The tabs that show unread voicemail and e-mail are not yet activated.
* There's no indicator yet for what page you're on.
* Once you create an icon you can change it, but there's no mechanism yet for deleting it.
* You can't yet configure the permanent buttons at the bottom of the screen.
* And there's no easy way to stop the server process without performing a soft reset on your device.
In other words, this release is for early adopters only.
