I want to buy digital camera. I have seen Powershot G7 Digital Camera for just $419.00 from Planetonline. It is for serious photography enthusiasts who have a lot to be excited about. It includes 10 mega pixel resolution and a powerful 6x optical zoom and also includes an Optical Image Stabilizer for clear shots throughout the zoom range. Is it good. Plz give me suggestion. mmm... in my opinion, the G7 is not really all that good. It lacks RAW support, and they took out the rotating LCD lens that the G-series are famous for. Unlike other G's - the G7 doesn't have a fast lens too, an IR remote, a big long-life battery, and an LCD status panel above. A friend at a local cam shop tells me that it's not selling that much either. A better buy would be the Canon S5is. Has 12x optical zoom, can take 30fps video, and has a rotating LCD lens. Reviews about it are more positive too.

Or if you can 100$ to that - you can get a Nikon D40, one of the best (if not the best) entry-level DSLR's in the market.
