iphone usage outside US/Canada

Do anyone knows whether iphone got a sim card slot and can it be used it outside US & Canada ? How about it in Middle east / Does any other operator network supports it as of now or in near future ?

well, the iPhone is a quadband phone afterall... so its should work with any GSM provider out there.

but here's the doozy... unless you're on international roaming with any of AT&T's partners, it wont work on other networks because it is LOCKED only with AT&T.

even Roger's AT&T, the carrier I use, in Ontario - will not have the iPhone until maybe the end of the year. So it's all a big waiting game.
