View Full Version : Questions for 8125 owners and anyone who wants to help

my friend gave me his cingular 8125 that has a problem with the mic when u male a phone call the mic works for only 15 - 20 seconds then it stops, dont know whats the problem, thought a mic replacement will do the job but im not sure if the mic itself is the bad part or if it is a software issue

the second thing is that i tried to unlock it using the Lokiwiz but that didnt work for me either and here's a link to the post where i showed the error that i got

my name on there is SPDRACR

now ive been a nokia dedicated fan most of my life as u can see from the phones that i've had so i dont know much about those WIZARDS so im still in the learning process

As usual, try a hard reset before going for a replacement, it could be a software that was loaded by your friend. Not sure about the unlocking since mine was not locked.

I've replace my Wizard (Dopod 838) with iPAQ 512, can try to help, but my memory of the device is fading away quite quickly, :D

how do i do the hard reset ???

i never dealt with these phones before so i have no idea of how to do anything on them so anything u know can help, as far as going for a replacement thats not gonna happen since my friend got the phone from his friend and its not under warranty no more

I didn't hard reset the device for more than a year, forgotten how to do it with hardware keys and a reboot.

However, if I remember correctly, there should be a Clear Storage in Settings that should let you clear the content and setup of the device.
