Nice find dif. If the iPhone's UI runs as smoothly as it does in that video then I'm sure it'll be a hit, of all the interface's I've seen it looks the most interesting at certainly the best looking, shame about a couple of the lackluster features and annoying things, hopefully the next version will address most of them. Still think the iPhone is overpriced though.

Definitely overpriced, although I guess if the interface is that great, then it might compensate for the price somewhat.

Nice one dif. Very informative video, I wish Nokia and other manufacturers did something like this.
I was very intruiged by the comment about being able to type faster on their keyboard than other qwerty smartphones (I think, lol, I watched it Friday)
I never thought about holding the N800 that way (instead using my finger as the stylus) I was actually able to type really fast...so fast that the N800 couldn't keep up. If the iPhone can handle super fast input that physical keypads can handle, and that its smart (but tiny) keyboard can actually compensate for inevitable mistypes, then it could actually be quite an alright keypad.
BTW, does anyone know if the iPhones Safari browser will support multiple tabs/browsers being open?

In that video I think he had more than one page open at one point, can't really remember but don't it was tabs as such, he had to switch by clicking a couple things or something, can't remember.

I'm afraid of all the people trying to operate this thing while driving, w/o tactile feedback the user has to concentrate on where to press. I'm so unimpressed, the guy sounds like Apple invented features that have been around for years.
The animated UI is an achievement over previous IPOD UI's. Should they have called this thing the iPDA? or iPod that can make calls and browse the internet?

Isn't that an Apple thing though. Well, it's a Steve Jobs keynote thing to emphasize something as new and cool and never done before when there are so many more products like it already.
Look how they dressed up how great speed dial is. You just go to contacts and add to favourites. When you want to get at your speed dial, just go back to contacts and go to your favourites. Great huh?
But hang on, speed dial is already much simpler on phones with buttons. You just press and hold a number. No accessing the phone book. Hence why it's SPEED dial.
So many other incidences like that...and the guy was so enthusiastic about so many other simple but "amazing" things, like the "great" ringtones (where none of your tracks can be used) how the iPhone has a clock and how you can change settings.
Also, they're good at overlooking things they previously harped on about. Like their previous iPod's mass of memory to hold tens of thousands of songs, yet, by having a tenth of the capacity of their previous ultimate iPod thye've still made their best iPod ever.
But it works, and people fall for it so kudos to them. They remember exactly what the iPhone can do instead of really being overwhelmed by a competitor with actual real substance.

It does have that nice "multi touch" and the whole pinching action.
One thing that I'm surprised Apple hasn't pushed much, or at all is the compatibility with so many iPod connector based products. Like how many new phones have that many accessories before it's even available? Or are they not really mentioning it because they will be incompatible?
In that video I think he had more than one page open at one point, can't really remember but don't it was tabs as such, he had to switch by clicking a couple things or something, can't remember.
Ah. Well, multiple pages is a must if they're serious about
