I recently decided that I may want to buy a handheld but I am not willing to pay that much for it. I noticed that T-mobile web is available for only $5.99 per month. The only problem is that the T-mobile website leaves me with a lot of unanswered questions about its service. I am unsure of what you get with T-Mobile web because it is so much cheaper than T-Mobile's other internet plans. If anyone has any answers to the following questions, please respond:

What exactly can and can't I do with T-Mobile web?
Is the $5.99 per month a flat rate or do additional fees apply?
Does T-Mobile web work with any T-Mobile handheld such as the sidekick or the new wing?
Is there any other type of service that I must pay for in order to use T-Mobile web or do I just pay the $5.99 in addition to my current plan?

Basically, what I need to know is how much access do I have to the internet with T-Mobile web and is it really only $5.99 per month?

From my experience on a Nokia S60 smartphone, T-Mobile Web basically lets you do everything but tether your phone to your laptop as an EDGE modem.

It is $5.99 flat rate.

With specialized devices like the Sidekick and Blackberrys, those require a special data plans. As for Windows Mobile devices, I'm not quite so sure...any T-Mobile Representative could answer this question though I'm sure.

The $5.99 is the additional fee on top of your calling plan, but outside of that, I'm not aware of any other charges save for taxes.

actually you can tether with the $5.99 plan, ive done it numerous times. you just cant download things to your comp (not that you'd want to using EDGE speeds lol)

Really?? I guess Nokia's PC Suite uses the T-Mobile Internet settings strictly, because it won't allow my E70 to do that now that I'm back on the cheaper $5.99 plan.

How'd you do it??
