The gameplay and the AI is good. It's like a combination of Red Alert 2 and Generals. Almost everything is upgradeable, and like RA2 - troops and tanks are promoted in rank depending on their performance in the field. There's also superweapons present.
There's only 3 factions though - unlike so many 'countries' to choose from in Generals. This one only has GDI and NOD, and a 3rd faction, the SCRIN. Which oddly looks like the aliens that tom cruise fought in the "war of the worlds" movie.
Overall it's a nice game, great graphics.... a bit heavy on the PC requirements though.
cheers!

Well the factions of extra Generals were only available in the Zero Hour expansion pack. Perhaps they'll do the same in an expansion pack for C&C3?
I thought exactly the same 'wtf, WOTW tripods?' when I first saw that unit.
:p

Supreme commander is an honest to god grind. yes i can understand about making good and innovative game play mechanics.... but SC goes in the opposite direction with this.
And while grinding is not bad.... mission after mission on maps the size that even 24 inch monitors cant accommodate them.... well thats boring . I did finish the game but hated it all the same
