its on vodas site in the paymonthly section £200 - 100:D
Yeah, apparently it'll be about $900 here.
The question is whether it'll allow you to send files (pictures/ringtones etc) to other phones through Bluetooth, since it's a bad idea from an operator point of view.
no it's bluetooth for audio only.
sorry folks!!
"no it's bluetooth for audio only."
Then what's the use then?
you can use it with a headset or a car kit!
Yes, but its such a waste. Its probably audio only because Vodaphone wants you to pay for their WAP service to get the ringtones and download your pictures/videos.
Hopefully they will release a different version with full bluetooth functions.

Why would Sharp have applied to the SIG for bluetooth serial as suggested in a previous mobileburn article if they were going to only support bluetooth for handsfree kits?
for other models?
but believe me, it states in the manual too, that bluetooth on the gx30 is ONLY for audio.
i don't know if this is something that can be fixed with a software update.

The post on mobileburn seemed to suggest that the request to the HIG was specific to that phone.. I haven't received the UK manual yet (it arrives tomorrow), but in the manual submitted to the FCC, it does indeed mention towards the end that the pairing is for audio devices only (despite also showing an 'other' entry with a (e.g PC) comment.
But on the 4th page of that manual it has this line...
Useful Functions and Services of the Phone:
Your phone offers you the following features:Bluetooth interface that establishes contact with other Bluetooth-enabled device and exchanges files, enables access the Internet, etc.
After all the calls for them to add bluetooth support it really seems daft to only have support for audio devices (decent for cars, but I wouldn't be seen dead wearing one of the gimpy headsets)
