Hi - I've just got a new phone to replace my clunky Vodafone VPA Compact running Windows Mobile 2003. To be honest, the whole 18 months put me off smartphones and so I've gone for a simpler SE k800i.
Question is, how do I get my SMS messages off my 2003 phone, or transfer them to my k800i? They don't copy themselves to my PC with activesync (and there doesn't appear to be a way to do so), and there doesn't seem to be a way to copy them via bluetooth directly to my new phone.
What gives? It appears the only way to make a copy of my SMSes is to do a backup with activesync, however that only enables me to put them back onto a Windows Mobile phone!
