The Mickey Kuso

What happens when an international brand like Disney gets together with another international brand like BMW to create a luxury phone? We present to you the Mickey Kuso.

The slim (10mm) candy-bar style phone is Asia only, sold by their version of Vertu called Omnipotence, purveyor of super-lux phones. It comes with mediocre specs though; 1.3 megapixel camera, bluetooth and micro SD, but wins in the design and packaging department. BMW penned this baby, everything from its carbon fiber and metal finish right down to its perforated leather box. In keeping with Mouse House branding, the entire UI is iconic, bright and colorful with a well integrated audio player designed to work with dedicated feather-touch controls.

Before you go and start writing checks, only 130 of these will be produced and you just know the final asking price will make the iPhone seem affordable. For those of us swimming in money, good luck trying to import one and for those planning to fish on eBay, check for the certificate of authenticity from Disney and BMW.

Interesting information. It will be good choice for girls. And I think, for men too. :)

I dunno if it's such a good choice for anybody bar the extremely wealthy... wealthy enough to have a personal assistant that has a better phone ;). Which definitely won't look as good.

I'd just luuurve one of these phones for sure... but I'll have to wait until Bill Gates leaves his inheritance to me... or when I hook up with Paris Hilton we can go pairsies with 2. You hear that Paris, you can buy me one when you come and pick me up at my house in the private jet; the streets plenty wide enough for a Lear to land.

With only 130 being made these phones are gonna be pricey to say the least. The specs are a bit low but I spose it's all about the looks and cool-factor with this.

I'm sort of idly curious about what resale potential these phones have. I mean, say you got one and sold it in 10 years time - do people think it'll keep it's value and/or increase in price? People seem to collect just about everything, I'm sure there's quite a number of mobile phone collectors out there...
