On average, every person loses 192 hours, or eight days of visual sight due to blinking. Andrew Schneider, at student at ITP, didn't like that fact and designed the Blink-Cam to savor every moment. It is a helmet that takes a Polaroid picture of the individual at every blink.

hehehe... interesting fact. But I find that study foolish. I'd rather loose that much time than not to blink at all and infect my eyes in the process. :D

cheers!

Lol i agree - given the state of his eyes in that final picture I would have stopped at finding ou the facts and figures rather than gluing radio shack grade electrics to my eyelids....

How long can you hold it for without blinking though ?

Now if it projected Hoff's face onto your retinas every time you blinked you'd be subliminal'ed into being a fan......

Hoff projectors tm patent pending

Dumb question, but what happens after 2 minutes when the film runs out? Would be a much better experiment with a digital camera and a 4GB card..

:D lol! That's what I was thinking... Who has the time to sit there and take a picture out and wave it for to develope. Now insted of not seeing light for 8 days he just waived Poloroids for 8 days straight! lol!

...WHY??? You don't lose the 192 hours at the same time!! So what if you miss a fraction of a second...nothing happens THAT fast except light!

Erm, you could miss a plane, travelling right above you flying super low at around mach speed, if it happened to pass at the instant you blinked, maybe he's waiting for the day that might happen.......maybe hes overly hopeful lol.

Or overly bored...if you have this much time to waste, I don't know that you should be living.

Kidding, but seriously...find something else to do.
