Nokia today announced a new mobile internet video experience which enables enhanced internet video consumption by bringing YouTube videos into the hands of Nokia Nseries multimedia computer owners.

YouTube videos are accessible with Nokia Web Browser with Mini Map through the new YouTube mobile site to be launched shortly. I'd be jumping for joy over this but I'm reserving excitement from the let down of the N800's poor ability to view youtube direct [If you let it load though, minimise screen and watch animation - like anime - it's actually pretty watchable)

Have you tried this Teo?

My N93 still hasn't been returned for me to try this out over wifi (Not even going to bother on the N73 as I'd be crippled by data charges)

When you say Nseries multimedia computer owners - what about the N800. I take it no news on that front? Or have Nokia overlooked that that's also a mmc?

If it does give decent frame rate with minimum buffering time, I'd be extremely impressed. YouTube has so much content for people to watch on the go (If they have good data plans/environment with free wifi[if handset allows] )

Next step for Nokia now is to allow users to vlog direct to youtube. I'm aware of the Vox ability to upload video but with YouTube (and their quick capture instead of the awkward upload via mobile) you've got such a huge audience to vlog to easily anywhere, anytime!

Long awaited YouTube Mobile site is already online!?

I have already written about the mobile version of the YouTube site (http://symbian-freak.com/news/007/02/youtube_on_nseries.htm) and I even took a video which shows how it looks like on "my" Nokia N95 (http://symbian-freak.com/reviews/n95/n95_preview_01.htm) via the Nokia Video centre and appropriate RSS feed. Now it seems that the mentioned mobile version of YouTube site is now online and offers this service to the whole Nseries community.

Additionally, it is weird that the site has limited access and it supports only few selected Nseries devices actually and it is impossible to reach it from another phone or even PC for example. The most interesting thing is the fact that my lovely N95 is also on the unsupported/blo.. .. .
