Our Sam Chan went to the Dopod U1000 (HTC Athena) launch in Hong Kong earlier this week and came back with a lot of great photos and some good hands-on first impressions of this massive, but powerful Windows Mobile 5 device.

Is it going to be compatible in US (T-mobile, Cingular)? HSDPA/UMTS? T mobile will be UMTS 1700 & 2100 how does it help by using global devices? Is HDSPA going to be globaly iniversal?
