Right now I have a tracfone and when it runs out in February, I want to switch to a different phone plan. How is T-Mobile's customer service? Is it true that when you try to add more minutes, they make you do a 3-way call with them and your bank to verify your account information? That's what one reviewer said on anther site. I want to get their gold plan because minutes don't run out for a year and when I added up how much I spend on minutes per year through tracfone, I find that T-Mobile is less expensive and I get more minutes for my cost. I like their coverage as well. I'm mainly using the phone in my area (not to call long distance or anything) so roaming charges aren't a huge deal.

So if anyone has used T-Mobile's plan and can give me some input, I'd appreciate it. Of course, after having tracfone for 2 years, anything will probably seem better, lol...not that it's horrible, but it does get expensive since I don't use it THAT much but still have to pay so much every couple of months (and like I said, T-Mobile's plan gives me more minutes at a lower rate).

If your credit is OK, then you should just be able to sign up. Their customer service has been a-ok for me, personally.

Adding minutes is as simple as a call in most cases. Now, if you get a rate plan and sign an agreement, dont worry about "adding minutes"

You may want to look into aa regional plan. You can get tons of minutes for cheapo, since you arent worried about long distance. Depends on how much you are on the phone.
