Company also announces Palm OS from ACCESS to be called Garnet OS

SUNNYVALE, Calif., January 25, 2007 - ACCESS CO., LTD., today debuted the new ACCESS Powered® logo and announced it is renaming Palm OS® to Garnet™ OS. The new ACCESS Powered™ logo replaces the Palm Powered™ logo and is now used with products from both ACCESS and PalmSource, Inc. (now known as ACCESS Systems Americas, Inc.).

I'm so confused...I had thought Palm had bought back the OS from Access.

In any case, I think it's stupid because now they've lost the brand. People have known for years what Palm OS is, but they aren't going to know what the heck Access is!

they are now working w/ windows mobile os don't know if they are still planning to have a palm OS phones.
