Nice looking phone. I have to wonder at why they put a colour screen on the outside, though. Why bother? All it needs is a small, mono, low-power, easily-read screen there.
And isn't Series 60 getting a bit long in the tooth now?

The external screen is an STN screen, wont take up much power, besides, an external color screen would be useful in showing the picture of who's calling in addition to making the phone look prettier :D. and also, the series 60 interface can be modified by the manufacturers, for example, the F900i by Fujitsu uses series 60 but the interface looks totally different from that of Nokia's series 60 phones

What were Panasonic thinking? It's awful. The base feature set reads like something out of mid-2003 and who is going to want to work on Office documents on a screen that size??
There are much better Symbian phones about. There are much better clamshells about. I think they've tried to weld two things together and come out with a mess.
Come the autumn of this year, it's going to look to be a rather sad phone. My bet.. the thing is going to be heavily discounted in order to shift stock.

That's true, i was very shocked when they decided to remove JAVA from the X70, when earlier official specs. stated that it would be JAVA enabled. My wish is that Samsung would make a series 60 phone in the form factor of their D-410, thank god they cancelled the D-700, it looked like a coffin  or at least hope Nokia would improve their polyphonic system, its what thats not making their phones perfect. arrggh and hope they also get rid of the stupid MMC and use SD
