I have a TDK Bluetooth adapter, a Nokia 6310 wich has bluetooth. A PC and the Nokia PC Suite. The problem is that the PC Suite software doen't want to admit that the phone is connected to the PC via bluetooth. It just doesn't detect the connection......... What do I do? Is all Nokia Bluetooth software so useless?

Check the mrouter app.
Please make sure that it detects the correct com port
there are a no. of ports so it should check the correct bluetooth serial port.
Hope it works now!

If it doesnt check which service the phone is connected to and also pair it with the pc!

I have made sure that the Com ports are the same. Have also paired the Mobile to the PC. My dial-up connection from PC to Mobile work just fine, but PC Suite doesn't detect the connection. AFter visiting the Nokia site it seems like a lot of others are having the same problem. Don't think I'm going to be trusting Nokia Bluetooth any time soon.

Nokia 6310 Pc Suite does not use mrouter - it uses Nokia Connection Manager.

Nokia 6310 PC Suite connection is restricted to bluetooth packages running the Digianswer bluetooth stack - as far as I know there's only two of them out there - Nokia DTL-4 and Socket.

If you have a 6310i let me know and I'll tell you how to do it.

So I guess that means that I should get rid of my 6310 since the bluetooth is useless? Is there no alternative? Wow!

have the same problem. My 6310i seems to refuse to connect to the PC. Please help. The specs are:

Win XP Pro, Bluetooth USB adapter (SMART), Opal bluetooth driver, Nokia PC Suite 4.88, (then also tried 5.1).

Nokia 6310i, v5.22, bluetooth on an visible to all.

The connection Manager allows me to select Bluetooth and asks for a choice of COM ports; thought I had it working at some point (COM6), but even though it paired with the phone, it always disconnected immediatly afterwards.

real bummer, please help if you think you know whats up here...

i have a d-link bluetooth dongle and had similar problems until i update the drivers to version 1.4.2.8

now mrouter shows the connection and Nokia Suite works great

but i still can't get windows xp to use my Nokia 3650 or SE T630 as a modem via GPS. i got it to work once using BlueSoleil from IVT but only the trial version.

want to do it via my bluetooth places

microsoft doesn't support bluetooth very well, not yet anyway, but they need to get going since powerbooks use GPRS via bluetooth very well using modem scripts

Try disabling the internal modem on your PC
