Hi there people!

Im currently using Motorola Razr V3x with Globe Telecom. And Im pretty aware that using 3G functions are not that Easy for Motorola Users. So, let me go ahead and Start something that hopefully will be helpful the rest of the Guys out there.

Let me begin:

Well, after a day of posting, no one seems to have the answer to my Question...Not even the Globe People!

Anyway, after tons of experimentations and thinking made, I finally able to do a Walk-around for using my Motorola v3x for Streaming Live TV! - And, Im sharing it to everyone!

The Moto Situation:

Motorola Phones come with Pre-Installed Web Sessions for WAP, GPRS, and MMS Access. There is only One Available Space in the Web Sessions for a New Setting to be configured or Installed.

That's the main reason why I can't have myGlobe Connect, myGlobe MMS, and myGlobe Stream all at the same time!

And finally, I found a fix to that!
1. Go to your Web Sessions and make sure you still have the available space to Add a New Entry. If not, try to delete the one you manually configured.

2. Write a New Message and Key-in STREAM then send it to 2951. Wait for the Text Advisory from Globe and Install the STREAM settings that will be sent to your Phone. Remember to Set it as a Default Access (at least for now).

 Note: If you have the Remaining Space in the Web Session, you should be able to Install the Settings you will receive from Globe. If not, Go back to Web Sessions and Delete the Settings you Manually Configure!

3. Now, Go to Web Sessions again and Select ANY of the Pre-Installed Settings and select Options -> Edit.

4. Edit Each Fields with the Parameters Below. (Note: You cannot Edit the Web Session's Name - But that's not a Problem):

myGlobe GPRS Manual Config for Motorola v3x:
 Let's say you selected Celcom WAP
Homepage: http(colon)//www(dot)globe(dot)com(dot)ph/globe(dot)wmlc
Service Type 1: WAP
Proxy 1: 203.177.042.214
Port 1: 9210
Service 2: WAP
Port 2: 9210
DNS 1: 000.000.000
DNS 2: 000.000.000
Speed: 9600
Line Type 1: ISDN
Speed 2: 9600
Line Type 2: ISDN
GPRS Application: www(dot)globe(dot)com(dot)ph
*Click Done

myGlobe MMS Manual Config for Motorola v3x:
 Let's say you selected Celcom MMS
Homepage: http(colon)//192(dot)409dot)100(dot)22(colon)10021/mmsc
Service Type: WAP
Proxy 1: 192.40.100.20
Port 1: 9201
Service Type 2: WAP
Port 2: 9210
DNS 1: 000.000.000
DNS 2: 000.000.000
Speed: 9600
Line Type 1: ISDN
Speed 2: 9600
Line Type 2: ISDN
GPRS Application: mms(dot)globe(dot)com(dot)ph
*Click Done

5. Now, go to Messages -> Options -> Setup -> Message Setup. Select Multimedia Message Setup and select Server Info.

6. You may see Maxim checked as your default MMS Server. We can change that and Name it to anything that you desire! Select Options -> Delete. Do this to delete all 3 Server Names under Server Info.

 Note: At this Point, you should see Service1, Service2, and Service3.

7. Go to Options then Select New. Enter the following Parameters:
Service Name: anything you like
Server Name: http(colon)//192(dot)40(dot)100(dot)22(colon)10021/mmsc
Web Session: Celcom MMS (Remember that this is what you selected in this Example. This is where we manually configured the myGlobe MMS settings)
*Click Done

8. Now, you are almost there! Go go Web Access and select Web Shortcuts.

9. Create Web Shortcuts for these Streaming Uniform Resource Locator:
ABS-CBN 2: rtsp://203.177.154.141/rtpencoder/ABSCBN.sdp
GMA 7: rtsp://203.177.154.141/encoder/gma7.rm (This one doesnt seem to work. I get an Error Message saying "File Type Not Recognized". If you know the correct URL for this, please email me at solo.villanda@hotmail.com)
CNN: rtsp://203.177.154.141/encoder/gmacnn.rm

 Now, Remember! You will need to select myGlobe Stream in the Web Sessions as a Default everytime you want to watch TV! This will serve as your Access Point! Once this is selected as Default, go to Web Shortcuts and select your TV Station!

Also, Remember to go to Web Sessions and select which one you manually configured the myGlobe GPRS ( in this example, its the Celcom WAP) and set is as Default everytime you want to Access myGlobe WAP and other WAP sites!

I hope this will Help my Moto-Brothers and Sisters out there!

**Yes! I was able to watch TV feeds from ABS-CBN using my V3x. Remember that you must have the myGlobe Stream settings in your phone so you can do Streaming.

Unfortunately you did not follow the steps I have provided above. Since you already have myGloce Connect and myGlobe Internet from Globe, you cannot unlock it! The best way to get rid of it is to Run a Master Clear. This will detele myGlobe Connect and Internet and free up the 2 spaces again. However, your Phonebook entries, 3rd party Pictures, Videos and Sounds will also be deleted.

I recommend that you start from scratch and follow the steps above. Or if you are more than patient enough to wait for the Stream manual configuration, visit my site at www(dot)freewebs(dot)com(forward slash)solomoto

Since you are able to watch TV Feeds you should already have the stream settings right? you can just edit that web session so you can provide the stream settings right? If its locked which should be the case then you can use "LeaderGL FlexEditor" to unlock it and edit and even delete locked web sessions that came pre installed on the phone and provide use the stream settings that you are using since you said its working right,...

No reason now you not being able to provide the stream settings,...

Waaah can i have the manual settings of stream sended by globe.. SO i can manually edit my setting for my video streaming...:( please...please.. (STREaM send 2951) i've done this i text 2951 by the same word STREAM many times but untill now, I don't get any reply from them.. (Tatlong araw na po kc ako nagsesend ng message:( sa 2951 ) so i decided to call 211 (globe costumer service) and tell them what is my problem. So the service staff try to search for the setting of my phone which is the same with you guys (MOTOROLA RAZR V3X) and after a long conversation the staff came back to me and asked me. If i had already installed a video player on my unit which is usually one of the requirements of video streaming offered by globe. So they told to go to the nearest globe center for this matter..

Did you intstall any video player on your motorola rzr v3x to have your live video streaming? If you do so, can i have the name of the video player for v3x (like real one player???).

sorry i have so much question because i also want to enjoy my v3x.

P.S.

I did all the instruction and details about how edit my mms gprs on my web session. And i am only waiting for the advisory from globe but i am having trouble with it..

Thanks in advance if you can help.. God Speed...:D

Hi peeps, I'm a newbie here. First question is, how can I install themes on my v3x? Pre-installed themes are bit off to me. I would want to add more to my own liking. TIA.
