Viewing contacts on PC?

Hey guys, 1st post here and i've got a question :P

I'm helping to ask on behalf of my friend on whether is it possible to view contacts of a backed-up phone content on the PC without her handphone cos she lost hers. She told me she already backed up her contents but she doesn't know whether or not she's able to view without transferring it onto another phone.

Any help would be appreciated, Thx! :D

Make a backup with new phone, and see where they are placed. Then make the restore with the previous backup (not the last one, the one before that).
