weird messages..what are they?

Sometimes I get blank messages from a sender "_@" and other times i get one that looks like a bottle (and i think ive figured out thats when i have a voicemail)

does anybody know what this means or what it is?

It's your phone not being compatible with your carrier's voicemail notification system seems like.

Ditto - open your manual for the phone and see if the icons are listed - should save you some grief...
