New Version of Papyrus for Series 60 released

Hi everyone, :)

First I'd like to explain to you what Papyrus is if you do not know it.

Papyrus is a time management solution for Symbian series 60 devices. Papyrus offers many smart views and powerful tools to manage and keep track of your schedule- Think of it as an Outlook for your phone!

Papyrus can be synchronized with your desktop Outlook using the Nokia PC suite, including an item's note/description fields (For Symbian 7 or higher) that are missing when using the default calendar application.

I haven't officialy announced version 1.2 which supports OS 9.1 devices because I wanted to wait utill we iron out most of the initial bugs, and I can now say for certain that Papyrus is very stable and I myself use it everyday to manage my life :)

Here's some info on version 1.2:
* Support for Symbian 9.1: The new Papyrus update offers full support for the new Symbian 3rd edition devices, such as Nokia's new E and N series phones.

* Support for all screen resolutions and orientations: Papyrus 1.2 now supports all new available screen resolutions and orientations offered by the new Symbian devices. Be it large or small, square or rectangular, landscape or portrait - we've covered them all with the help of our devoted beta testers. This was done to make sure Papyrus looks good any way you look at it :)

* New professional graphics: We've done our utter most to work with our graphics department in order to bring you the best! The new Papyrus icon and the compact editors never looked better, with Symbian's native support for SVG files which resize themselves automatically according to screen resolution. The new icons looks magnificent!

What's new in Papyrus version 1.2.05?

*"No Category" is set for all items regardless of their origin (Outlook/Nokia Calendar).
* Category icons can now be set for devices running OS 8 and lower.
* Allday multi-day events Grid issue fixed for devices running OS 9.1
* Items now show up on Dec 06, Jan 07 correctly for devices running OS 9.1
* Removed "Add Category"/"Delete Category" for OS 6.1 devices as they are not supported by the OS.
* It is now possible to exit the "New/Edit Item" screen after setting a category or exitting the "Add Contact" screen.
* Fixed copy/paste of appointments with an alarm on OS 9.1 devices (alarm is not copied to the pasted appointment).
* Alarms can now be disabled for tasks and anniversaries (including synched birthdays) on OS 9.1 devices.

* Sync status is now saved for Anniversaries and Allday events on OS 9.1 devices.

Hi, thanks for all your hard work and I think it's great that your starting to release proggies for S60.

I've been a fan of SBSH applications for some time on Windows Mobile 5 (HTC Universal as MDA Pro). There's some companies that produce software that's a cut above the rest usually... has that extra something in functionalty and what you can do, never bloatware. PocketBreeze for example is extremely popular amongst power users for a reason... ;)

Think OmniGsoft, spb, there's a few - IMHO SBSH is one of those companies with the "must have" applications as well.

So thanks for all your hard work, again it's great that you're developing for S60. I recommend people at the very least try these applications and in particular papyrus, you may find something you really like. :D

And no, I have no affiliation whatsoever with SBSH or any other software developer of any nature. I just think good apps... :)

* Changed category icons' system to use MBMs instead of BMPs. Icons now load extremely fast (~ 3 sec for 500 icons)
