Sorry to disappoint you mate but although the phone has a good screen, it only has a 300k VGA camera. If you look harder online you can fine info about it. Go to google. You can buy it on http://www.asian.co.za/mobile/Other_Brand.htm

Oh. I see, but the phone is GSM 900 + GSM 1800. So Im guessing it's not Japanese

My Chinese is a bit rusty (too lazy to open up Babelfish), but according to that article it's a Korean import. Until I read this thread I had never heard of this company...

GEO, Innostream, Pantech are just 3 of the newer korean brands that are attracting a lot of attention in the asian market, especially in taiwan where i just came back from. I know that GEO and Innostream are Korean brands, not 100% sure about Pantech. All there handsets features 260K screens or more, (my Innostream 90/i2100) has 262K screen. However the screen isn't as good as the GX20/22 as i have compared these phones side by side. But the seller in taiwan told me that the sharp screens undergo pixel burnout eventually so lose in terms of longevity?

Innostream is the now the 2nd highest cell phone company selling phones internationally behind Samsung. NAmes like innostream, pantech and Geo are already quite well known in taiwan now and are ranked in the top 30 for sure.

In my opinion these newer brands of cell phones are great as they retail at much cheaper prices and you get real bang for buck in terms of audio and visual features, such as the yamaha 64 polyphony and external 65K screen. The camera has great refresh rates and the picture quality in the cell phone itself is probably one of the best, although when transferred to a computer it is not the case. My inno also have video capture capabilities.

Thats not to say the phones are perfect, my innostream has a poor battery life compared to my last nokia 6610.. with standby of 3 days (slim battery) and 4-5 days (standard battery) compared to 6 days of my 6610... but then again there is an internal 262K and external 65K and also fibre optic wheel on the outside.

Another bad thing about the inno is that it doesn't have bluetooth, or IR, just a data cable.. however i don't use these things so it makes no difference.

Ok enough said, as for the GEO G1, it looks @#@$ nice~~

The main problem with Asian and smaller manufacturers is that they generally don't understand how to make a decent UI. Even larger companies such as Samsung and LG have pathetic UI's.

True there are certainly areas that require improving however I didn't think that the UI of the model that i'm using was exactly 'pathetic' There is both graphical interface and text interface which is customizable like the V600 and both are easy to get use to and capable to be used quickly. Personally I don't like the Samsung UI aswell but thats not to say that they are all pathetic.
