I bought a V1605 from Vodafone, also known as the HTC TyTN among other things. The phone is branded Vodafone. I am having a problem having the phone notify me when i have voicemail messages. I have set it up properly through my voicemail setup options to notify me by text message when I recieve a voicemail, but no notification comes. The only way I can check to see if I have voicemail messages is to actually call in and check my voicemail. (Annoying) I went into the vodafone shop and they told me that this is just the way this particular phone works. They are trying to tell me that one of the most basic features of a phone is not included on this particular phone??? Bizarre. The thing is my mate has the same phone branded Orange and his phone notifys him when he has voicemail messages. So two questions:

1. Does anyone else have this phone branded Vodafone, and do you have the same problems?

2. Does anyone have this phone unbranded or on another brand and have this problem? Or get voicemail notifications properly?

3. If I were to get this phone reflashed and unbranded back to the way HTC would sell the phone would this solve my problem???

Look forward to your responses.

Did anyone get any resolution. I got a HTC branded TyTN recently and it has the same issue. When you get a voice mail, you DO NOT get a text message
