Okay, i bought a Nokia 6630 in Japan from jfone or Vodafone japan. I live in the states and really liked this phone so i bought it when i was on vacation. I called Jfone about a month ago when they still existed and they said they cannot provide me with the unlock code because they simply do not have permission due to the fact that they have been bought out by softbank. Also told me to call back in a month and softbank would give it to me. Now softbank is the new company which was jfone and i just got off the phone and they told me first off that if i put in a non jap sim it will lock my phone forever without even trying to enter a code, second they do not have access to the codes and cant help me. WTF is with these damn people. Anyways enough of my venting, i am glad you guys are here to listen to my crappy experince with my 6630.
