I put a Nokia N70 up for sale with a high buy it now price of 400 US dollars. Some guy, named toppybuyer485 comes in and buys my item now for the 400 dollars that I thought most people wouldn't pay. Good right? WRONG! THe guy has a private feedback score and combine that with the extremely fast purchase as well as teh fact that he has not yet payed for the item makes me extremely suspicious. What do you guys think? I'm going to tell him that if he doesn't pay me by Saturday night, I'm going to relist the item and prevent him from bidding on my items again.

How long have you been waiting for payment? Maybe he was anxious, though wont have the money until a work check is deposited.
You can always adjust your eBay settings (for later sales) to not allow people with private or low number feedback to buy from you.
Something everyone should do to begin with. A lesson learned, I suppose.

And also can't you set it to immediate payment required on eBay aswell? If it's buy it now that is.

Yes, you can change your settings so that people with low feedback scores, low reviews or private feedback scores (I think) can't bid on your items. The problem with that, though is that I also have a low number of feedback scores. I'm 100%, but only because of 9 people. It would be silly to block people who are in the same situation as me.
And yes you can demand to be paid on teh spot. I don't usually enable this feature so that I can remain flexible, but most buyers will contact you if they don't plan on paying right away. I haven't heard back from this guy and its been more than 12 hours since he won the bid. Not to mention, I've tried to contact him twice already. If I recieve no payment by sunday morning, I'm going to relist the item.

MuK: yes you can, though, I havent looked lately, but that might be an extra minor charge - also a good idea though.

WhiteB - though you are a seller, and are gaining a reputation. More people are likely to buy from you who bid. ALSO encourage people to email you and ask questions, so the over all experience is good - and hopefully, mention in the feedback that you are a reputable seller who cares about their customers.
Anyway, You are the seller, so ultimately you are in control. There is mroe than one way for a portential bidder to contact you - so if they feel you arent being fare, thats their problem - thing is, if they dont bid, they will never win.

Apparently it's only businesses that can require immediate payment...at least that's how it was when I was selling the 9500.
It really sucks because while the buyer did pay for the 9500, apparently it was a fraudulent payment and so the money's on hold. I should have known it when it was a different person it was being shipped to than the payer, but who knows it could've been like a gift or something (which I just did recently). I was just so anxious to get my E70! And it's so ridiculous cause eBay/PayPal can't get it into their head that this isn't my fault and they shouldn't be penalizing me...they have the gall to be all like "Next time you should have chosen seller's protection." EXCUSE ME YOU'RE CHARGING ME $500 RIGHT NOW DON'T BE A SMARTA$$!

The buyers account was terminated by ebay so I just relisted the item. That ********** wasted two days of my time and 8 dollars of my money.

If the account that bid on your auction was fradulent, you should not have to pay to relist your item..! I would bring this up with Ebay directly.
