I got my SE K610i yesterday, and I'm gonna use it as a modem on my PC. I have installed the USB driver and now it's recognized as a modem. Now, how do I set it up in the new connection wizard? I am a Smart subscriber and have installed the settings sent by the network. I have gotten the unit to work on 3G.

If it's already detected as a modem... just choose that when making a new connection at the new connection wizard. Choose "set up manually" in the connection wizard.
cheers!

Thanks a lot. This is the setup guide that I am looking for. Some settings though is not applicable. I hope someone from Smart Philippines could provide such guide.

Help me configure my 3G internet access (SMART)
I am using K610i
I've already downloaded the Sony Ericsson PC Suite, and all the drivers are already installed so my phone will be recognized as a modem and an USB ethernet device.
My problem is that whenever I try to click on "Connect" button on the Mobile Networking Wizard, the message
"734 - PPP Link Control Protocol Was Terminated" keeps on appearing.
I am able to get into the state that says "Authenticating"
I've done my research and looks like this is related to the logon username and password setting.
Correct me if I am wrong, if you use SMART 3G, you don't have to have a logon username and password inputted in your pc suite to connect to the net?
Also, there's always a logon password automatically assigned to the Connection of my 3G enabled phone modem. Even if I remove it, it still there.
Ruben can you post the manual settings of both Smart Internet profile and modem setting properties. Tnx
If you have kindly include Globe's video streaming. I'm currently a prepaid user not postpaid
