Can anyone confirm if the VODAFONE VPA COMPACT III (v1605) is compatible with T-Mobile USA? Any issue with SIM's, etc?

Thanks!!

If it's unlocked then there shouldn't be an issue.

THat's what I was looking for. Thanks!

Now any pointers to what files/cables I need to unlock it?

Um...I'm thinking only Vodafone can unlock it right now. Anyone else correct me if I'm wrong, but since it is a new device, I don't know that one can unlock it at home.

So it would be pointless to pick one up online unless it's already unlocked?

If I do get an unlocked one, any issues with setting it up for use with T-Mobile USA?

THanks for all your help!!

AFAIK - which could be wrong you must understand but I'm talking from experience of using PPC Phone Edition badged T-Mobile with other providers that I've unlocked - as far as phone services go

GSM/UTMS calling will work
SMS will work
wireless internet (normally bought for laptops) can be made to work

BUT ... many other services will not/may not work - generally some of the 3G services are out at least because they require security certificates (to access wireless hotspots or view media streams for example).
