Unveiled: O2 Ice!

We'll save the "ice, ice baby" comment for later. 02's new handset deserves a little more originality than Vanilla Ice and the gang. Sleek, stylish and and all 3G-ed up, the slim candy bar is the first in a series of 'insight-led' handsets...

The new recruit sports the usual MP3 player, 1-3 megapixel camera and Bluetooth – yadda, yadda. We'll skip straight to the interesting bits for purposes of not nodding off. Think video calling - that indispensable shopping tool we love so much - and the use of O2 Active to catch up on the latest news and celeb gossip. (Yes, it is true that Winona has a crush on Keanu).

You'll also be able to access Streetmap on the dinky digital device, which is always handy when you lose your house. (Yes, it happens to everyone).

O2 Ice will be available come September from, er, O2. It will cost around £100 on pre-pay. No word yet on the price for pay monthly customers.

Yuck!

This is one for the oldies - beats the SAGEM VS1/2 anyday in looks...

Leave it to the 50-60+...

Yuck!

My thoughts exactly.

Either O2 was trying hard to be like an "iPod" ... or that they've gone insane and lost all creativity.
