Sms 'Memory Low' problem

Hi everyone,
My RAZR V3i will show 'Memory Low' whenever my sms storage hit bout 50+. Why does that happen? I have check my phone + card memory and it seems to have alot of space left. I want to know is it a bug? or motorola has made it like this? So sad, cos my old phone can store more sms than this....
I have search many places for a solution to my problem but i can't seems find an answer. Please help me ..Thx

It's not a bug it's the settings in the phone you can change them using one of the P2K Programs like P2K Advanced Editor...check them out @ motomodders.net

do you try to store the sms to the phones memory or to the mini sd card the card should hold quite a bit depending on the size of the card
