its looking quite long in the tooth my friend.. most of the e-series phones can easily keep up with it barring on the camera.

I think Jayesh means technology wise e-series is very good if not better than p990 apart from cam

My OMFG was because it looked like the P990i was actually gonna come out soon, even before the W950i.

Nokia E60/E61?

If so, I'm just not digging the form factor. And the lack of touchscreen and ease of use of the UIQ OS.

Yep and E70, but I think form factor is very good on E61, very well designed. The advantages of touch screen are a matter of opinion, I personally think that there is no major advntage, but that is only me!

My uncle always gets the latest phones, and he always gets the latest P-Series devices, hopefully the next time I'll see him he'll have the P990 so I can have a play around with it, or he might have an E61, or both :p (Last time he visited he had an N90, a 8800 and a satelite phone on him).

Here in Dubai its available at all dealers for booking, and they have this new scheme going on of a booking holder card with a Number to show your number in the line of people who r booking, great and all but in Dubai most phones are already out in the Market before all official dealers sell the phone by 1 or 2 weeks

I've been using my P910a since early 2005, and it has been great. Waited for the P990i too long. The excitement sort of died down, but nevertheless I'm still looking forward to it. It's probably the best phone that will suit me.

However, the 3rd party software for UIQ 3.0 is just getting started. There are less than 10 proper softwares for it, and none of what I have installed on my P910a has been ported for UIQ 3.0 yet.

I was almost going to get the M600 because I wasn't sure if the P990i will be released in 2006 (until last week), and because my workplace is going to implement the "no-cameraphones" rule beginning in September. But after looking through the software library for the M600, I guess I'm going to stick to my P910a for now. Maybe get a new OEM housing, and it's good as new. :D

Most phones come out very early in Qatar as well.

If you're gonna have the "no cameraphone" rule, then it's the perfect choice to go with the M600. Once the P990 comes out, there should be plenty of softwre for UIQ 3.0.

Well, fingers-crossed, anyway.
