self upgrade for 6600

has nokia got around to providing this yet? they should do really.
i just cant be bothered to try and get to a service center, and hang around for a few hours while they do it! :(

don't think they would plan to do that as that means they're basically distributing the phones software over the internet which is like downloading windows off the net!

nokia has never had self-upgrades, unlike SE

SE never had them until only very recently, too.

Magcom was the first to do that, a couple of years ago. Siemens has been doing it for a long time, too.

im with siemens at the mo, and the self upgrade are a great idea. especially with these complicated modern phones what have lots of bugs! ;)
think it might stop me getting a 6600. Im sure ive heard that even Sendo are going to do it?
