Filipino workers abroad can SOS by SMS
Filipinos working abroad and who are poorly treated, can now send an SOS to their government by text messaging, according to SPAN. "Government agencies and NGOs are now able to respond and/or intervene, in a timely, adequate and efficient manner, particularly where either the OFW’s life, safety or well being is a critical consideration."

Thanks a lot for this Difenbaker! :D Sorry, I can't open the link it was blocked, I may inquire of the service later, it may come in handy when my research work begins in US soil. As usual, even in a 'nice' place like US, some of our 'brothers' get treated badly, some even by their own countryman, a Filipino, betrayed by his own.. But I might need to find a way to conceal my 'huge' 6630, pretend that I don't have one :D
Bye

Kinda like 911 I think. Yes, it's a fact that many Filipino's get treated badly in their work environment, mostly in MidEast, Europe, SEA countries, least in US, everywhere I think.
But what's weird and somehow, I don't understand completely, is why the world has this habit of beating, killing, and raping our people(it's reported in our local news with depressing frequency-if you're not living in Philippines, you'll probably never hear of these things).
