Do you think the Italian soccer player was really insulting his mother and sister...or was Zidane just being hot-headed?

Honestly think it was the grand finale to his career and after the years of playing he probably just snapped....which I can emp

On the radio I heard keywords from the lip readers were "mother", "prostitute" and "terrorist" like the son of a terrorist or something, bit of racist thing to say and taking the mick out of his heritage! I can't imagine a world class footballer getting that aggravated without being provoked, not saying I think Zidane made the best choice either though.

He should have concentrated on the game first and whacked the Italian after the match :icon_kidra:

Hence the car park comment - if you have got a grudge to settle and its physical simply save it for the car park - other person and yourself would have thought more about it more and probably avoided a punch up..
But saying that if someone called my mother that it'd be a night in Smackdown Hotel for him...

he should have done that after the match...neways, there should be a rule for verbal manupulation too..., many times a verbal asault is much damaging rather then a fist to the face...

Verbal assault can be treated just as harshly as physical assault in some cases, but unfortunately its much harder to proove.

I was at the game where Eric Cantona scissor kicked that guy - he deserved it he was shouting all kind of stuff at him...

Losing the world cup would have hurt a lot more but instead Zidane handed the guy all his dreams on a plate. Anyways, very amusing game from what was a very sad outcome.

This is GREAT, you can check out a short movie about Zidane. It is a half true story about an Italian guy and his French girlfriend during the final world cup 2006. The Italian finally goes to visit her in France and a guy provoke him so bad. How the Italian will reacts? Check it out yourself
