I don't plan on using the Hotspot service and $29.99 is steep. I'm using a nokia 6682 on grandfathered $4.99 T-Zones but now want unrestricted data. TMo has the Blackberry Unlimited Add-on for $19.99 which is unclear as to whether it has data restrictions. My question is:

Voice Plan w/BlackBerry Unlimited Add-on = Voice Plan w/unrestricted unlimited data (on a nokia)?

I also heard that TMo billing now breaks out the $29.99 Total Internet package into two items:

Discounted HotSpot Unlimited 14.99
Total Internet Addon 15.00

Anyone know if Hotspot can be cancelled leaving you with Total Internet for $15.00 by itself

IF you have a WAP broser, I would stick with unlimited Tzones. Depending on if you can DL a better browser, it may still work. IS this nokia capable of using the mobile opera? If so, definately add the unlimited... I use it ridiculously all the time - more than I ever thought.

PS. Tmo has FREE unllimited WAP T-Zones, their branded product, is a monthly charge.

Their 'free' WAP gives you access to purchase and download junk to your phone and no access to the rest of the Internet. I'm browsing fine for $4.99/mo, i want to use orb streaming, see images and open links in profimail, use ALL the features in Agile messenger, use an RSS client...all things restricted by the T-Zones Service which leads me back to the question:
Voice Plan w/BlackBerry Unlimited Add-on = Voice Plan w/unrestricted unlimited data (on a nokia)?

Which company are you using?

In your tmobile account, add the unlimited option. It should be $20 a month with your voice plan (or specific vouce plans starting at $29/m)

PS. When I had the original Tmobile XDA, I only had tzones, and surfed all day long on pocket IE. I guess things have changed ;)

I've been doing fine with my $5.99 Tzones on my 9500 too

I got this hooked up yesterday, i called TMo and requested the $19.99 Blackberry Unlimited add-on and within an hour and a half all of my apps that couldn't access data were rollin'. Now I have 2 new hiccups.

1) I've never played Realplayer .RAM files before, but I get audio only and no video.

2) The other snag is that the test.orb.com 128k .3gp sample looks great but i can't get my home stream to come close. It is 'unable' to play the Real Player home streams also but I don't know if thats because of my pc, pc firewall, router, router firewall, router, network traffic, pick one.

anybody?

This is something I had a snag with as well.

Once I got RealPlayer to stream movie trailers and stuff...then after that night it never worked again. I called T-Mobile and the guy gave me this excuse that they never allowed that capability. It was sad too because I got it working with just the simple unlimited $2.99 Tzones (at the time only that price)

It is 'unable' to play the Real Player home streamsIt's been a day of fiddling and so far I'm feeling that the whole stream anywhere over EDGE is an urban legend created by the early adopters. I was hoping for a more believable mobile wireless video solution but I'm thinking that the current quality is....well it was like the old days of video on a computer...tiny, pixelated and hollow sounding.:kermit: What I want is a mobile solution not a localized wifi solution. You need to make sure you have the latest version of Real Player installed on your HOME PC, otherwise Orb won't be able to encode the stream. This is something I had a snag with as well.the realplayer app that came with my 6682 won't even play the Realplayer sample video from the test.orb.com site so I don't know WTF is up. Now my setup is being little beyotch, the RP app will play orbs 3gp test video but it is 'unable' to play the stuff off of my.orb from my pc. It's late, my wife is getting pi$$ed i'm spending all this time to get seemingly unwatchable streaming media to work. Someone please convince me that getting orb or if there is an alternative setup to serve home streams to a handset to work has been done on a believable level.

I've changed my tune, when it works it's awesome but it's inconsistent and doesn't always connect. The other thing that I read somewhere is that the Realplayer app on S60 won't play certain Realplayer formats? Anyway 3gp with High Quality enabled works, the sound quality isn't as nice as I'd hope but impressive considering I didn't spend any $ for the setup and it plays over an EDGE network.

Is there anyone else that can share there impression of orb? Does anyone know if it will work with the $5.99 WAP option?

What kind of browsing can I expect from my t509? All text? If I got the tmobileweb add-on what can I expect to see on my phone?

okay, a long time ago i had tmobile unlimited internet(internet2). it was pretty slow, and to make a long story short, now i just use tmobile internet(tzones).
my question is, is the internet2 account faster now? i.e. are they using edge yet?
