Hey guys, I just got my 6600 yesturday, but I have a problem, which maybe you guys can help me fix. The button with the little pencil symbol on it(bottom button on the far left hand side of the phone), doesnt seem to do anything when i press it, even when i hold it down. How exactly do I program that button.

Cheers,

Nick

The said little pencil button as far as I have worked out is used during message mode (sms, mms) when you are in the chosen message, click the pencil and it brings up 3 input methods "Number, Symbol and language"

With reguards to changing the use of the button... well that one is beyond me.

Hope the rest helps though. I myself only got my N6600 last week, so I am still getting used to it as well.

..you can also press it down in e.g. your SMS Inbox and then mark several messages by pressing C button. Then you can e.g. delete all marked messages. If I recall you can also use it in the Notes application to mark/paste parts of a sentence etc.

I don't think you can program it yourself.

The little pencil button is a boon to all the 6600 users.......especially if u are into smsing...........it helps you select cut copy and paste the text you typed.......While typing a message if you want to switch to number mode or the put dictionary on u can do it by pressing this tiny button...........
Also if you have to transfer images into a folder you've created you can multiple select the images and send them to the folder rather than sending them one by one.......
Its also helpful while transferring images or contacts etc to your computer since u can mark many or selected images which u want to transfer which saves lot of time............
No i dont think you can program it.......
