will the nokia 7700 be the replacement of the 9210i? when will the 7700 come out?

Hi there!

The 7700 is not a new communicator, is is a Mediadevice, well suited for browing the internet. This is likely to hit the market with more power than the tablets from Microsoft.

We will see a new communicator, perhaps based on the Series 90 OS from Nokia and Symbian instead of Series 80. My guess is that they will announce the device in a month, to be more exact, at the 3GSM in Cannes. They will hold a pressconferene in Cannes around february the 23rd.

My guess is that they will announce several new phones at that point, perhaps a new 3G-phone in a small suit. Maybe

We will also see several new clamshell phones and I hope that they will show a clamshell with Series 60 and 3G.
It can be a HUGE hit if they release one.

Nokia is still telling me that the next communicator (which might be revealed relatively soon, if I am reading their hints correctly) will be based on Series 80, not the new Series 90 platform.

My next phone will be this...but they must figure a way to include a video-conf camera and reduce the form factor to smaller than 6600. I also prefer a candy-bar type as opposed to clamshell.
