How to setup Bluetooth on Dell?

Hi, I need help BEFORE I purchase a BT wireless earpiece, which will work with my cell phone (Nextel - which I already know which ones) and my Dell Latitude D810. I want to be able to use the BT with the laptop with Vonage's Soft Phone and a WiFi connection internet, onthe road, yet use the same BT with my Nextel cell phone, as well (obviouly not nec. at the same time). Does anyone know to to configure this and which BT earpiece is best?? Everytime I go to a BT store to look at any earpiece, none of them get recognized by the laptop, at all. Let alone to test to see if I can use it with the laptop and the Nextel cell phone. Any help would be great!!!

Depends. Does you Dell have bluetooth built in or are you using a dongle? Only ask as I have an inspiron latop and a Dimension desktop and neither of them have BT built in. I get round this with a Belkin BT dongle.

The BT software is directly from Dell and came with the Latitude D810 Laptop.

Are you sure the internal BT card is even working? Can you pair it directly with you phone? have you tried a pda or anything else that BT enabled?

Hi, I have tried my friend's BT earpiece on my cell phone and it works fine. When I try to get it recognized by the laptop, it doesn't see it. Dell was no help. That is why I am asking someone if they know how to setup and which BT earpiece works well with the cell phones, and then I can try to see if I can set that up for my Laptop, and possibly use it with the SoftPhone form Vonage (laptop software with it's phone number, but used as a VOIP phone, thru WiFi.
