Thank you Michael, for the most excellent review. I especially like the video ;)
A nice lengthy, in depth and concise review for sure.

I've already done it, but I don't understand why we're going through digg.com:confused:
What do you mean going though digg? Its just a way to attract more visitors, the story is still accessable through the main site.

So is it GSM 850/1800/1900 and EDGE then? I wonder if T-Mobile UK will pick it up, took them forever to launch the Sidekick II.

I have no idea when it will launch elsewhere. I assume it will happen eventually, though.
And for those of you not familiar with Digg.com, stories get submitted there and if people like them they click on the "Digg it" link. The more "Diggs" a story gets, the higher it shows up on the home page.
So if it gets a lot of diggs, a lot of people will see it and we will get a lot of traffic out of it. Think of it as a SlashDot like site with voting.
So vote for our review on Digg.com to drive more people to the site.

I digged from home, I dig form work -I even digged from my sidekick! :)
I have to say, I read all the reviews from most of the credible sites, and MobileBurns is the most in dept, and personal, if you will. Its like it was "your phone" and you were giving it a psychiatric exam. Always a good read from this place.

I love the open-mechanism of this phone. I thought it would slid out, instead of that swift swivel (accompanied with very toy machine gun like clicking)
BTW, is narration during the video recorded real time or done afterwards? (It sounds better, imo, more proffesional, like it was scripted)

It was scripted and added to the video after the fact with Microsoft Movie Maker. I read it too quickly, and since Brad is the only one that can convert the files to flash at this time, and he was travelling for CommunicAsia, I was unable to redo it.

The US model will include the 850 band, while the UK/Europe model will have 900. This is covered in some other other review sites from what I read.

Thanks just read it on the CNet review as I came to check this topic! I'm glad that there is already a version with 900, hopefully release over here won't be as long between release of SKII.
In the video on MB I really like the look of the UI, that game looks kinda cool too :D .
My contract isn't in it's last month till December, so hopefully it should be out by then, I never got the SKII because it missed bluetooth and mem card slot which were both essentials for me, but the SKIII is perfect, especially with MSN IM.

Yeah, as I say in the review (Connectivity section, I think), there are two triband versions of the Hiptop 3 reference design.

Best qwerty keyboard huh?
What surprised me was that I thought the screen would have higher resolution that 240x160.
Other than that, a very nice phone indeed.
I like the auto correct feature. Many a times there's been great confusion over a typo whilst texting. Especially when using T9, its not just 1 letter out of place, the whole word could be wrong.
If it works without user intervention, what if the user is wants to type that word? Is there an override?

Whoops, missed that, I was reading over it quickly as I needed to go for a lesson.
Just a couple more questions.
How was the battery life?
Also, in the review it was mentioned about the apps avaliable to purchase, I've never owned a sidekick so I wondered what kinds of applications (other than games) are made for them.

All kinds of stuff... Here's the online manual link to the catalog section. I have a calculator, and message sentinal and a clock/alarm app in my SK2 now.

How was the battery life?I got 5:50 of talk time while running an audio sample of me talking through it to simulate a conversation.
Music is no longer a good test for that since noise cancelation systems are getting better and starting block it out entirely, reducing power requirements since nothing gets transmitted.
