Just trying to get some general info on how to report lost cingular phone.
Within the last week I seem to have lost my phone. (Currently dont think it is stolen, think probably kid threw in trash, tried to call goes straight to voice mail, waiting to see if it shows up somewhere around house kid may have put somewhere else). I have had my account thru Cingular for the last 10 years and have recently signed a new contract with my current that is lost phone and it ends in November 2006. I do not have wireless insurance. I have been told that it is very hard to get a discounted phone thru cingular if no insurance. I do have an old phone that I could use however I have no sim card. I guess first question is does anyone know how much card would be to replace if I went with old phone. 2nd question anyone have a idea of to how maybe I could get another phone prefer same one I have now Sony Ericcson Z500a cheap/at a discount thru Cingular?? Get an unlocked phone somewhere else possibly but still have to get sim card thru Cingular?? Any suggestions or best option from what I have described above as to what to do??

I don't want to come off as being rude, but have you tried talking to Cingular? I know it's intimidating, but hey if you want absolute answers go straight to the source. With T-Mobile, replacing a SIM card only costs $20...I can't imagine Cingular being too much more. If you're scared about them asking you get a new phone or whatever, just insist you're going to use an old phone and that all you need is the SIM card. Or like you said, ask if they have any specials.

But seriously, you need to do this ASAP before someone takes advantage of your phone and racks up your bill! Why in the world did you wait so long?
