6600 WAP settings

Help. Does anyone know if you can brown the internet via WAP over GMS data and not GPRS? I have tried entering the settings by hand and getting them for the 7650 and 3650 from Vodafone and I can dial up but then it says "unable to perform operation" or something along those lines. Call me tight but I am not paying £7.50 per MB when I can browse wap over GSM for free. I am on Vodafone UK contract... Please post here if you need other information. Thanks

But even more interesting, you can browse WAP sites by using GSM data if you dial into an ISP modem or something that gives internet connectivity.

Whats this frying pan attachment? I have been browzing WAP over GMS for a long time and this is the first phone I have come accross that doesn't have GSM access only GPRS.
