Mobicom is probably a name you haven't heard before, but one that the company hopes you will remember. Currently known as the company that makes phones for Chinese mobile network Capitel, Mobicom is looking to break into the North American GSM market with both their existing offerings and a few new ones currently in development. I've been to their R&D labs and have seen some of the upcoming models - and they look very promising.
Questions, comments?
If this tiny handset had BT... what a PDA companion it would be!

Sid and I had a similar type conversation this morning. There are probably 10 or so phones I would be using instead of my t68i if they had decent Bluetooth.
The Sl55 would be a good example of the small, compact Bluetooth phone I'd love to have.
G50 and this Mobicom are other examples.
One of the manufacturers MUST realise this... perhaps SE will get it sorted as they typically have working BT...we shall see.

Have you seen the movie "Zoolander"?
Ben Stiller's character makes a big deal about carrying his phone with him everywhere...and it's this rediculously tiny little thing (obviously a movie prop).
Well - it seems like that little phones like that are a reality already, especially with this Mobicom 6688...
Don't know if Zoolander's phone had Bluetooth... :)

My friend Todd was over at my place and saw the Mobicom and said "That's not a real phone, is it?"
He then asked me if I saw the movie Zoolander....
Pretty funny.

Cute.
Certainly gotta give 10 points for size - shame it missed BT. Also noticed you didn't mention MMS - no luck there either? Certainly a good start into the market tho... can only hope we can get some more features packed into such a little package. I thought the styling was so-so as well... but i could live with it.
Was there a RRP mentioned anywhere?

No MMS.
I don't know what a RRP is, so I can't answer that question.

You can't buy one. At least not one configured for North American GSM bands.
I've got one of the few here in the states because they gave it to me when I was at their R&D labs in NJ.
You can probably get a hold of one of the ones marketed by Capitel in China, though, but I don't think they support 1900Mhz.
