Dopod 838 having wifi connection problem

Does anyone have problem connecting their 838/equivalent using wifi? I am experiencing "no" connection at all since I get out of the dealer's shop the day I purchase the unit. I tried it at the shop and it works ok but the minute I got to my office, it failed to connect at all. I went back to the dealer and he tried it for almost half a day but failed to connect at all. He even reformat the unit and than reinstall the latest os but still failed to connect. Have anyone experience this problem and how do you solve it, if any. I would like to try fixing it myself before sending the unit back to the factory. Hate to part with it for at least 2 weeks. Please help!

The factory settings for 838's WiFi is only compatible with 11b, try to force the router to 11b mode only and don't use any security protocol. Proceed to use security if it works, otherwise please provide more detail, eg. description of "no" connection, type of router, configuration and etc.

PS: There is a registry hack to enable 11g on 838, but it is advisable to get it working on 11b first. See my review for information on the hack.
