What Is Best BT Dongle With SE P900 And SE PC Suite And Win XP (Home)???

Dear All,

With all the many varied bluetooth dongle brands available out there, I was just wondering which one is the best BT dongle to work with the SE P900 and SE PC Suite and Win XP (Home Ed). I want to connect my P900 to my laptop for all sorts of usage eg. sync, file transfers, surf the net on my phone using the laptop connection (making use of my laptop's internet connection instead of GPRS), etc. Basically what the P900 USB cradle can do, I want to be able to do with my BT connection.

The most important criteria of course is smooth running of everything. Next would come user friendliness (in terms of set up as well as usage) and cost of the dongle. Have I missed out anything here?

Anyone has any recommendations? Any would be highly appreciated! Thanks! :D

I find the TDK USB Bluetooth Adapters very good, mainly because of the support they offer and the Bluetooth Software is based on an implementation developed by Widcomm

I paid a premium for this brand of Adapter (compared to ones for $20 you can pick up from eBay), but I've had it over two years and been supported with several software updates, firmware updates - there wasn't much choice in Adapters back then but luckily enough I picked one that ended up being the most interoperable over the years (and I've tried many brands of adapter and Bluetooth implementations in that time).

Although, come XP Service Pack 2, when Bluetooth will finally get a fully featured implementation integrated into Windows, it should work with supported adapters not requiring the installation of 3rd party Bluetooth software as is the case today.
