I have bought a w900i off of ebay for what I thought was a reasonable price for such a sought after phone.

Upon purchasing I placed my vodafone SIM card in but was greated with a 'phone lock' code. I have tried all those suggested as default codes but to no avail.

I am thinking that it may be a lost/stolen phone and this has got me extremely worried.

Is there any known way of diverting or removing the code because I am worried that I have completely wasted my money in purchasing a phone that I may never be able to use.

I cannot get hold of the person I bought it off so I am dreading the worst but wondered if any magicians on here could help me?

Thanks for all thoughts/suggestions

...However as I purchased it from www.wirelessimports.com, it came unlocked/no problems. I like ebay for selling phones, buying is another story.

I have never personally used the do-it-yourself unlocking methods, however they seem reasonable enough. If they continue to not work, I suggest using an unlocking service either locally or online. (around $10-25 USD)
