hiya guys I was wondering what u all think abt on t-mobile flext price plans?
bascially it works on a credit system where they give u £180 or whatever the limit for calls, texts or wap a month and u can use this amount within the charge for your line rental.
here is a link:

I am thinking abt going for this but jus wondering what COULD be the catch?
there has got to be something that I am missing any thoughts then?
regards

Don't think there is any catch. You pay them £XX per month and they give you £XXX to play with. Sort of a prepay/contract hybrid, one month you may send more texts and make very few calls but then the next month it could be vica vera. I guess hench the name Flext (might mean flexable tariff).

Plus they know that people with plans like that often won't use up all of their allowance. And if you look at it, within the allowance calls are 20p/min so it's all relative.

hey psd99 where did you get that offer from? sounds awfully tempting
Things like this have been going on for ages in Australia, with all the operators, is works like:
$49 per month = $230 of credit
$79 = $500
$120 = $1200
They aren't scams, just a new way of pricing. Down here they are simply called cap plans.

You get no phone with it?
Apart from a Nokia 8800, Blackberry 8700g and a MMDA Pro there are 27 free phones available for that tariff.

It has never bothered me about what network I'm on. If it's a good plan and a good phone then I'm there. My current squeeze is 3. £35 p/m (halfprice for 6mths £17.50) 400 anytime/network mins, 250 sms, 25vidoe/picture messages, 25 video call minutes and £5 to do with what I like and free phones. I think 3 are the best value network around.
If T-mobile considered you a "valued" customes then they would offer you a phone with discounted line rental..... Networks couldn't give a **** about their customers as long as they get their money from you, thats all they care for.
i would be having words with them about throwing in evan a fairly basic phone and then see where that gets you.
