Hey, I just bought a w810i off ebay, and I'll be receiving it soon. One this worries me though, does the lack of lens cover pose a problem? Is the lens recessed enough to prevent scratches and fingerprints? Would these affect the picture quality much? I'm excited to start using the phone, but this aspect worries me somewhat. Also the reason I bought it was that I couldn't wait for the k790 to come out, lol (btw is the k790a coming out anytime soon? I hope not, I would then have to sell the w810i). All right, thanks in advance for the replies.

P.S. Looking forward to joining the forum!

Well it may get a bit dusty or something, but I don't imagine the lens would scratch or get damaged that easily, especially if there is no lens cover, my past few phones all haven't had a lens cover and throught the use of them all there was no noticeable degrading in picture quality (I've had Moto E398, SE k700i and D600).

Basically I wouldn'y worry about it, and my is in the same pocket in my blazer where my keys are, and theres been no problem.

My W810 has not scratches on the lens, it is deeply recessed and you wouldn't even be able to scratch it with keys in your pocket unless they come at just the right angle.
