Just read the review, quite a good one but I was going to say, isn't it quite late? There are some reviews that come out immediately because the phone is highly anticipated or kind of, revolutionary, examples of this are Nokia's N-series, SE K750i/W800i, Samsung D500/600, RAZR, etc. I just find this phone, now that it's been out a while is of little interest to the general public. I don't know how much resources are spent on this but unless someone in the news team bought the phone for themselves and had it to write on, I wouldn't have thought they'd have bothered. I suppose nothing really new has come out recently apart from the N80 (for which the review clearly made massive sense), maybe the new E series and/or N91 too? Am I just being unfair?

this isnt the first time a review has been later than any other site, the thing mobileburn prides itself in is quality, i know of a lot of people who even though read reviews on other sites like mobile-review they always wait for mobileburn, im not even interested in teh w900 yet i feel like reading it cause mobileburn has it.

I agree with that, that's why I read it as well. I have no bias against SE, in fact, if I were in the market for a non-smartphone I would definitely consider SE (which is why I have the K750i). If it's smartphones then I see no other way forward than Symbian for me.

I received the review from Sam only last week, and while it is quite late, the page view numbers indicate that this is still quite a hot device to read a review on apparently. While it is quite late, Sam only got the review unit a few weeks ago, and I'm not going to not post a review just because the device is a few months old - this one especially, as it was way over priced at launch, and is now more accessible, plus it has undergone significant firmware upgrades.

Fair enough. I have noticed a lack of good reviews for it. But I think many will agree with me, the W900 wasn't a huge upgrade over anything else. Phones like the K750i/W800i offered something new and imaginative over previous phones whereas the W900 could be seen as a cross between a W550 and W800 with a memory bump, 3G support and a slightly better screen. As I said, it didn't detract from the fact it was a good review and if it's been written it should still be posted. I think what I was getting at was, if resources could have been put into reviewing newer phones, should they have been? (I saw an N90 review pop up about a week ago).

i was actually considering the w900 till i played with one, the size is just way too much, its too wide for my liking,

That was my thoughts as well, I handled it and realised it was smartphone-sized but without the 'smart' bit. I think the next phone from SE worth looking at will be the K790/800.

Mobileburn is always on the quality side than quantity..

I completely agree that it is a handset without much purpose, and if you read Sam's review, that is his opinion as well. Regardless, I think it was an important review to do.

On the other hand, Sam didn't have another handset to do at the time, and had he received something newer before writing this, I would have told him to do that first.

I own it and for me, it has purpose. I did not need a smartphone at the time.

Fact is, it is one of the most powerful handsets SE carries on the market right now. It's size/weight compared to feature set is what gets annoying.
